Round 1:

*1 dc, Ch 1*. Continue from * around. (16 dc, 16- Ch 1 spaces)

Round 2:

*1 sc (in-between dc posts from previous round), Ch 1*. Continue from * around.  

(16 sc, 16- Ch 1 spaces)

Round 3:

*1 hdc into Ch 1 space, Ch 2*. Continue from * around. (16 hdc, 16 - Ch 2 spaces)

Round 4:

* 2 sc cluster into Ch 2 space, Ch 2*. Continue from * around. (16 - 2 sc clusters, 16 - Ch 2 spaces)

Round 5:

*2 hdc sts into Ch 2 space, Ch 2*. Continue from * around.

Round 6: 

Work 1 sl st into each st around.

Round 7:

Note: This round is worked into sts from Round 5.

*1 sc into st in Ch 2 space, skip 2 sts, work 6 dc sts all into next st, skip 2 sts*. Continue from * 

around. (8 sc, 8 - 6 dc shells)

Work 1 sl st into each st around.

*1 dc into sc st from previous round, Ch 4, skip 2 sts, 1 sc st (middle of 6 dc shell), Ch 4*. Continue from * around. (8 dc, 8 sc, 16 - Ch 4 spaces)

*(1 sc, 1 hdc, 2 dc, 1 tr) all into Ch 4 space, Ch 3, (1 tr, 2 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc) all into next Ch 4 space, 4 sc sts into each of next two Ch 4 spaces*. Continue from * around. (4 - Ch 3 spaces)
